On burnout...

Burnout can sneak up on you. One day you're excited for a new role, a new venture, a new challenge. The next you're exploding about an email from HR telling people to please wash their coffee mugs when they bring them back to the kitchen.


We also have a nasty habit of saying "when this is over, I will rest". Be honest: when's the last time you said that? And when's the last time you really rested? Not checking emails over the weekend, not checking on the team on your holiday, not taking calls during family dinner...


Healing from impending burnout, or chronic burnout takes focus and concerted effort. Attention is needed on not only the symptoms, but the root cause of the situation.


Integrative health teaches that true health has 5 pillars:

- Nutrition,

- Sleep,

- Exercise,

- Stress management, and

- Meaningful connection.


Finding the root cause for your burnout inside each of these pillars, and working towards sustainable health may need support and guidance.
